Staying hydrated and well-fed amid your climb is absolutely vital, especially when conditions are such that you might not want to eat or drink as much as you should.

Food

Your chef, who would be accompanying you during the trek, will cook you nutritious balanced diet so that you have the right amount of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

We can also accommodate any specific diet requirement; however, you have to inform it to us during your booking.

Listed below is a sample itinerary of food you would be served during your Kilimanjaro climb:

  • Breakfast: You will generally have porridge, sausage, toast with marmalade or jam and eggs with your choice of hot drinks which include tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
  • Lunch: For lunch, you will be served sandwiches, boiled eggs, chicken, meat cutlets, salads, and fruits.
  • Dinner: Dinners are quite filling. You will have a soup, bread, salad, meat/chicken/fish, rice/pasta/potatoes, vegetables, lentils, and fruits with either tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
  • Snacks: Peanuts, popcorn, crisps, and biscuits.

Water

Our crew will provide you with water throughout your trek, as it is essential to remain hydrated to help with the altitude. Generally, water is collected from mountain streams and treated with water guard water purification tablets.
