Safety :-

Your safety is our highest priority. Our Ascend Tanzania mountain guides have experience at altitude and are trained in High Altitude and Wilderness Medicine. We carry wilderness first aid kits on all treks and a portable decompression chamber and oxygen cylinder are available for hire on request. Each day, our guides check the health of each member of the group ensuring it is safe to continue. Our guides will acutely manage any situation on the mountain and if necessary, arrange for rescue usually by wheel or shoulder stretcher. Air evacuation is also possible in emergency situations.

Experienced Mountain Guides :-

Senior guides for Ascend Tanzania have had at least 5 years experience as mountain guides on Mt Kilimanjaro and have summited the mountain over 100 times each. They lead trips with knowledge of the mountain and a passion for what they do. They receive regular training during the off-season, so you can count of having some of the best-trained guides on the mountain.

We have a greater than 95% summit success rate on Mt. Kilimanjaro. We like to keep groups small, so we can give everyone the attention they need in order to get them to the top!.

Great Equipment :-

We have recently replaced all our tents, sleeping mats, mess tables and stools. We take care in ensuring all the equipment we use on Mt Kilimanjaro and on safari is of a high quality and maintained to the very highest standards to ensure it will survive the rigors of adventure travel.

Experienced Safari Drivers and Guides :-

The success of every safari largely depends on your guide who does double duty as your driver. We take great care when selecting our guides to ensure they act in a professional manner, show good judgment and are patient and supportive to allow the client the best possible safari experience.

Reasonable Price :-

We tailor our trips to your wants and needs meaning our prices are generally mid-range. We could charge less, but that would mean compromising your safety, comfort and enjoyment as well as disregarding the health and well-being of our guides and porters. However, we are far from the most expensive company operating in Northern Tanzania. We do not have the high overhead of American and European run tour operators. We are Tanzanian-owned and operated helping our clients enjoy the beauty and excitement of our country while investing in the people of Tanzania.
